About The Lodging House Mission

The Lodging House Mission has over 100 years experience in helping disadvantaged people get their lives back on the right track.

We're a Christian organisation with a mission to provide care and support to those in need regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender. With more and more men and women becoming homeless due to the current economic downturn, we have a dedicated team of Support Workers and Volunteers who work together towards one common goal - making a positive difference in people's lives.

We give people the opportunity to get their lives back on track by enabling them to develop new skills and feelings of self worth.

We do this by providing a safe place to access to:
Educational Opportunities and Recreational Activities
Facilities including Showers, Telephone, Laundry and Internet
Support staff and counsellors

The Lodging House Mission (aka trotters) is open Mondays – Fridays and, on average, we see 100 homeless, vulnerable and socially excluded people visit us on a daily basis.  We provide Food, Activities, Chaplaincy and Education Services (FACES) and have been providing food and support since 1909.  We do not receive Government or Local Authority funding and rely on the continuing financial support of individuals, grant awarding bodies, charitable trusts, church donations and of course, you.

Without the generosity of people like you, our work cannot continue.
