Christmas for the Children and Young People

This year we have decided to come up with new ways to try and get children and young people more engaged and involved with Strathaven Trinity. Therefore, we have 2 events running this Christmas, one for the children and one for the young people.

Children’s Crafts for Christmas

Who: This activity will be open to all Primary 1 to 7 children
Where: Trinity Parish Church, Lethame Road, Strathaven
When: 10th December 2018 at 3.15pm - 4.15pm

We are holding a Christmas crafts event that will follow the Christmas story and show the real meaning of Advent and Christmas. There will be a variety of crafts, suitable for all ages and hopefully a few sticky fingers. Teas / coffees and juice will also be available. All at no cost, just to spread some Christmas cheer and to put smiley faces on all who join us.

The Puppet's Christmas Carol

Who: Young people in 1st year and onwards
Where Trinity Parish Church, Lethame Road, Strathaven
When: Rehearsals start 11th November 2018 at 6pm - 7pm

We are hoping to put on a Christmas puppet show, where we will be using songs from popular musicals and changing the lyrics to tell the Christmas Story through puppets. This will be a fun activity for our youth to join in with and get involved. If they do not want to act with the puppets there will be other things that they can do.

Your help

We would love for you to join in and help us with these events. For the Christmas crafts event we would need roughly 8 volunteers (manning the stalls, teas / coffees), but if there are more wanting to get involved that would be amazing. All are welcome to volunteer for the puppet show activity. Speak to Shannon at moc.liamg|hcruhcytinirtnonnahs#moc.liamg|hcruhcytinirtnonnahs or the Minister at ku.gro.dnaltocsfohcruhc|nosretaps#ku.gro.dnaltocsfohcruhc|nosretaps to get involved.
